In a raining weather, El-Ahly continues their preparations for the new season in their Danish camp by playing 3 friendly matches until now. El-Ahly performance is improving from a game to another and Jose is definitely happy with the solid return of Ahmed Belal, as well as having Ahmad Galal in the team. Ahly’s only problem is the absence of 11 players with the national team.
First Match was against FieldBerg, a 2nd division Danish club, and El-Ahly managed to defeat the Danish club by 2 goals to nil. Ahmad Belal scored the first goal in the 14th Minute and Sayed Abdul Hafiz made it 2 at the 53rd Minute. The game witnessed the debut of the new Ahly midfielder, the Ghanaian based Akuti Mansah, and the new striker Ahmad Galal who has just c from his 1 year suspension by EFA. The second match was against the Danish league runner up F.C. Midtjylland who was looking for revenge after their humiliating loss from El-Ahly last January 4-1 in El-Ahly Friendly Tournament.
Nicolai Jorgensen put Midtjylland in front in the 11th minute from a great shot went to the side netting of the El-Ahly goalkeeper Amir Abdul Hameed. Frank Kristensen scored the second goal for the Danish side in the 23rd Minute while Belal scored El-Ahly only goal just two minutes before the end of the 1st Half after a good cross from El-Ahly new youngster Ahmad Galal to make the score 2-1, and that is how the game ended.
Manuel José expressed his delight from the team performance during the match "It is very good to play with such performance while you are missing 11 main players from the team, We are still in the preparation period and we still have much work to do " Said El-Ahly coach. José also didn’t forget to comment on his relation with the players whom were about to leave the team," I have nothing personal with any one in the team. What happened between me and El-Hadary was in the end of the last season and who likes to talk about the past, I recommend him to go to the Museum. I totally appreciate El-Hadary, Sayed's efforts with the team and the only answer I can reply with is that they are still El-Ahly players.
In their third friendly match, El-Ahly crashed HeldFig by 5 goals to 1. Belal netted twice while Wale Ryad, Ahmad Galal and Akuti scored once .El-Ahly will play their last friendly match in the Danish camp next Monday against Salzberg before heading back to Cairo to finish their preparations for the match against Raja of Casablanca in the African champions league which is to be played Sunday 26th of June.
